Today I was tasked with a real NASA job. I am in charge of the 360 camera aboard the plane. Jefferson, the photographer, left Thule today to go back to the US. He put his trust and his equipment in my capable hands. I am happy to have this responsibility but at the same time I hope that I get some good photos. I am not the best photographer in the world and this camera is mounted on the bottom of the plane. I take pictures using the computer that Jefferson left me. I can't actually see the pictures until after I upload them at the end of the day so I'm basically just telling the camera to take pictures and hoping that the shots come out. To do this, I set the camera for a certain amount of time and let it take the pictures. I can also adjust the amount of light going into the camera. At the end of the day I download all of the files and hope that we got some good shots. Brian one of the engineers on the plane helped me work the camera. If it wasn't for him I don't know if I could have done everything. It was only day one of Adeena Teres professional photographer but there will be many more. Who knows maybe this will be my new career?

It's Friday and the entire crew is ready for the weekend. This Weekend is Armed Forces Day. There will be special programs, such as dog sled races, snow mobile rides, and a craft show. I will write about my experiences in a future journal. I hope I get to go on a dog sled. I was told it is fun but very cold. I am willing to try anything once and can't wait for a day to relax and have a good time.

Since I don't have to wake up early tomorrow, I plan to head over to the gym later tonight. The gym is huge and has a bowling alley in it. I can't wait to go play. I am not the best bowler in the world but I do love to try. I was told they also have a rock wall at the gym and of course, regular exercise equipment. The base is like a small town. It also has a movie theater and a coffee shop. I am off to go play. Have a good weekend!
