Joint Science Education Project 2014
    Joint Science Education Project 2014

Over the next few days, I will be introducing the U.S. students who will be participating in this summer's JSEP. We received a total of 532 applications from students in 45 states, and a panel of distinguished Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) educators and scientists carefully reviewed each application. As you might imagine, the panel had to make extremely difficult decisions, because there were so many excellent and worthy applicants. But I am proud of the committee's work, and the team is made up of individuals with very interesting experiences.

The U.S. will be represented by Victor Cabrera (Florida), Hugh Ford (Maryland/DC), Hasib Muhammad (Georgia), Alexandra Stendahl (Oregon), and Hope Ushiroda-Garma (Hawaii).
