The Winning Flags

Flags were submitted to my contest at the kindergarten through fourth grade level and at the middle school level. The flags were judged by our school art teacher as well as some of the middle school teaching team. Winning flags were selected based on whether they represented Greenland plants and/or pollinators as well as the quality of the work. So see for yourself!

    Fourth Grade Winning Flag
    Kate's flag shows pollinators!
    Seventh Grade Winning Flag
Skylar's flag shows a flower and the location where it will fly.
    Seventh Grade Winning Flag
Layla's flag is designed to show Greenland's national flag modified with pollinators.
The winning flags are right now being made into actual flags. I will fly the flags at our campsite on the tundra. Then when I come home, the winning flags will be returned to the students who designed them. Great work Kate, Skylar, and Layla!

    Honorable Mention

Many flags were submitted, and many of them were wonderful also. So I will post a flag-of-the-day picture in my journals from Greenland. Watch to see if yours is one of them!
