    I copied the coordinates into Google Earth. It looks like you are between a big piece of ice and the mainland. Is that the case?

    That pretty much sums it up- we have been working our way closer to the face of the Thwaites Glacier through a stretch of the Amundsen Sea with abundant icebergs- most of which calved off the Thwaites or Pine Island Glaciers. I'll post another map with some satellite imagery in post soon.
