20 January 2015 Last full day at the pole

Today's post will again be a photojournal.

Our flight to McMurdo was cancelled, but it seems likely that we will fly tomorrow. Since today could be my last full day at the pole, I wanted to share a beautiful picture of the IceCube team that was taken at the ceremonial South Pole.

Throughout the last two weeks I have collected a number of photographs that did not seem to fit previous postings. Well, four of those are now here (#2 to #5). In addition, Hans offered to shared his photograph collection with me, and it turns out that I have been prominently featured on a number of his own pictures (these are #6 to #10).

From my own collection:

January 20: Selfie photograph (taken today) with the sign at the geographic South Pole.

January 14: This is a funny picture because I seem to be in a hurry, but that was not the case.

El post de hoy nuevamente será un resumen fotográfico.

Aunque nuestro vuelo para la estación McMurdo fue cancelado, parece probable que podremos viajar mañana. Dado que hoy podría ser mi último día en el polo, deseaba compartir una elegante fotografía del equipo científico del IceCube. Esa imagen la obtuvimos en el polo sur ceremonial.

Durante las últimas dos semanas he acumulado un buen número de fotografías que, de algún modo, no encajaban bien en los posts de los días anteriores. Pues bien, aquí les presento cuatro de ellas (n.º 2 a la 5). También recibí un buen número de fotografías de Hans, quien amablemente se ofreció a compartir su colección conmigo. De hecho, resultó que yo aparezco retratado de modo prominente en varias de sus fotografías (n.º 6 a la 10)
