Update on Jackie

Hi.

We have an update on the status of Jackie for all of you that are wondering "where" she is! Jackie left a message (using her satellite phone) that she is in Beacon Valley but the communications are hardly working. She will try to relay some journals for us to read - via a helicopter that flies between the camp and McMurdo Station. We hope to have something posted in next couple of days.In the meantime, stay tuned and check back often. We'll remove this post when we hear back from her again.

Hey Mrs. Hams!,

How are you? I hope everything is well for you on the ice... learning about all of the things everyone does out there is soooo cool!!! It sounds like so much fun!!!

I was wondering how did you get so interested in going to Antarctica? Also how did you get chosen for being part of the experiments and going on this whole trip? What is something that interests you the most about your job? Lastly what do you do when to keep you occupied when you’re not doing anything? Sorry for all of the questions. Hope your hand feels better. Stay WARM!!!!!
