A simple craft activity where students research an Arctic or Antarctic explorer and make index cards with pictures and information about the explorers on them. The cards are then connected by paper clips or string to make a dangling string for each explorer or expedition to be hung around the room.

A collaborative learning lesson for students in grades 4-8. Students work in teams to summarize assigned chapters of a 16 chapter novel, about the last season of the King Island, Alaska native peoples seen through the eyes of a teenager girl. Project is multi-disciplinary.
