Hi Andreya -
I hope your first day went well. I am sure that you will enjoy being in Jillian's class.
The most irritating thing so far is knowing that I have to leave. We have been working really hard to get everything done by a certain date. It means that we don't get to do some things that we might get to if we could work a little slower. However, we do get to do a lot of things that most people in McMurdo Station never get a chance to. This includes ride snowmobiles, go in a helicopter, and work on the sea ice. In the end, it all balances. This just means that I will have to come back to Antarctica to do the things that I missed. I'm up for that.
