Merry Christmas to all down at Byrd Station!

Its been a cold rainy Christmas here in NC. The rain is doing its best melting the snow that came last week. (This has been the first white Christmas that we can remember!) As I sit by my fire and Christmas tree, I enjoyed seeing the make-shift tree that you all built at Byrd camp. I have really enjoyed your pictures and musings from down south!... All the more makes me want to go for an expedition down to the other end of the planet.

Although I am sure you are longing for family this holiday season, take time to enjoy your surroundings! You will be on your way home soon.
