Along with researchers, teachers and other personnel from Sweden, Chile and the United States, Ute Kaden and Allen Miller boarded the Swedish icebreaker Oden in Punta Arenas, Chile and traveled to McMurdo Base in Antarctica, finally returning home via Christchurch, New Zealand.
