Congratulations on the Megalodon tooth. I am curious to find out how big it was. Did you measure it?

I am so excited to follow you along this journey. I will make sure my students know about this site during the next school year. Just to jar your memory, I am the teacher whose SAV trip turned up all types of weather: Sun, Rain, Thunder, Sleet, but no snow! Have fun!

Thanks for writing! Please do follow along, there will be some great things to share with your seventh graders in the fall! I anticipate having all of the weather that you had on your SAV trips, though snow may be more likely than sun!

Hi Deanna,
I am starting to really get ready. I picked up some SmartWool socks and
some other warm weather gear.
I would guess the Megladon tooth was about an inch and a quarter in
length, though I didn't measure it. Not a monster, but it was an
exciting find for me!
