Your daughter left for camp last week.  You will leave before she returns.  Will you recognize her when you return?

Good question Dad!
 Alice is on her own expedition for 3.5 weeks in the Canadian wilderness.  She will certainly grow and change from that experience, just as I will from spending 5 weeks in the Arctic aboard the LSSL.  We calculated that we will not see each other for 53 days! 
 
Still, I believe in the power of genetics!  Humans have survived this long enduring far more than a 53-day separation.  We will recognize each other, and be able to teach each other so much that we have each learned on our trips.
