Liz- it has been really nice meeting & getting to know you at ShareFair!! I eagerly await your journals and photos.

I know the South Pole is pretty devoid of non-human life (though a South Polar Skua has been observed there flying over, probably wondering where the heck the Southern Ocean was!!), but keep an eye out for neat birds in your comings and goings down south, will 'ya?

I had no idea about the Skua. That's really interesting. I'll definitely keep a lookout for birds when I go. I'm planning to learn some about nature and wildlife photography this summer so that should help if I see any cool birds. It's been great having you at orientation! I know I've said this before but I've learned a lot from your presentations (and thank you so much for the camera cleaning stuff. It's already been really helpful).
