What animals, if any, live there?

Good question!
At the South Pole, the only animals are people. There are no pets, bugs, birds, or anything else. People are the only things here.
In or near Antarctica, there are several different types of animals: penguins, seals, and whales are the big ones. I've seen some seals in McMurdo but that's the only wildlife I've personally seen.
