Trekking across the tundra… and tumbling into bed!

Today was my first day in the field, trekking across the sometimes soggy tundra with armfuls of squirrel traps, learning how to transport the squirrels we caught, and learning what to do with them once we get the back to the lab. Aside from short lunch and dinner breaks, I have been running all day (which is awesome!) and I just got to sit down to work on my blog at 11PM. I am exhausted, so a detailed account of my first day with squirrels will have to wait for just a bit.
